Experience

Edward Crawford is Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Coltala Holdings, a Texas-based holding company building and scaling mission-critical businesses across aerospace, infrastructure, and water. Guided by a “Mission and Margin” philosophy, Coltala partners with founders and operators to grow enduring companies that create jobs, strengthen communities, and support America’s industrial base. The firm has deployed over $500 million of capital and operates businesses across the United States, with a strong presence in Texas.

Edward serves on the boards of several Coltala companies, including Choice Health at Home, Alsay Water, Coltala Aerospace, and Pond Robinson & Associates. He is also a Founding Advisory Board Member of NYSE Texas, supporting the growth of Texas as a leading financial center and the emergence of “Y’all Street” as a national economic force.

Prior to Coltala, Edward held leadership roles in investing and capital markets, including co-leading acquisitions at InvestRes during a period of significant growth. He previously spent eight years at Goldman Sachs, where he served as a Vice President advising founders and CEOs across Florida and Latin America.

Edward began his career as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Dominican Republic, where he founded CoopCafeSur, a coffee cooperative that continues to serve hundreds of farmers. He later served as a U.S. Naval Intelligence Officer, supporting Special Operations Command South and deploying to Afghanistan as a Tribal and Political Advisor to SEAL Teams during Operation Enduring Freedom, earning the Bronze Star Medal.

He currently serves by appointment of Governor Greg Abbott on the Texas Product Development and Small Business Incubator Board and serves on the Lone Star Workforce of the Future Fund Advisory Board of the Texas Workforce Commission, helping shape workforce development and job creation across the state. He is Co-Founder of the War Veterans Fund, which has helped elect U.S. military veterans to Congress, and is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He is a Trustee of Tulane University’s Freeman School of Business and a Member, Board Member, and Membership Chair of YPO Dallas, one of the most established YPO chapters globally.

Edward is a TEDx speaker on servant leadership and has appeared on NYSE TV and in national media including The Washington Post. He has been recognized with honors including the Bronze Star Medal, the Texas Business Hall of Fame Veteran Award, and the Texas Consilium Business Excellence Award, one of the state’s leading recognitions for business leadership.
